MickRonsonfest - Sat 27 April 2013

The ICA will survey the career of the iconic guitarist and producer Mick Ronson (26 May 1946 – 29 April 1993) on the eve of the 20th anniversary of his death, in partnership with his sister Maggi, and assess his impact on the history of popular music. His importance and influence are often understated; this event will amplify the role of this brilliant and unassuming musician in making some of the best rock/pop records of all time. Often referred to as The Man Who Shot the Seventies, legendary rock and roll photographer Mick Rock is responsible for many of our enduring, iconic images of Rock & Roll. Most of the memorable images of David Bowie were shot by Mick Rock in his as he documented Ziggy Stardust in his capacity as the official Bowie photographer.
